Maxfield Music, founded in 2015 by Kristen Maxfield, is an integrative music school located in Canandaigua, NY, just south of Rochester, NY, and adjacent to the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York.

Who is Kristen Maxfield?

Kristen Maxfield is a seasoned vocal and piano instructor with a Master’s Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance. She is well-versed in many musical genres including, but not limited to: R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country, Pop, Classical and Musical Theater. In the music industry for nearly 15 years, she’s worked as a backup vocalist for national tours, a studio musician, a choir professional, as well as a singer/songwriter for her own bands based in New York City, Philadelphia and Rochester, NY.

She’s worked with a number of professional musicians in the entertainment industry to include Scott Sharrard & Jay Collins (Gregg Allman Band); Ian Hendrickson-Smith (Amy Winehouse, Al Green, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings); Clayton “Gravy” Reilly (John Legend); Sam Polizzi (Daughtry); Dan Stein (produced Bonnie Raitt); Charles Martinez (produced/engineered Kristin Chenoweth, Donald Fagen and Steely Dan); Ron Thompson (studio and live musician for Alicia Keys); Thomas Gooding (studio musician for various artists).

In addition, Kristen has 16 years of audition and audition preparation experience and five years of teaching private one-on- one vocal lessons.

Kristen has released four albums throughout her career with her fourth studio album “Intertwined” released in November 2018!
