Songwriting Lessons
Whether you're just beginning your songwriting journey or are an experienced songwriter, Maxfield Music is here to help you unlock new ways to express yourself creatively. Our lessons cover a variety of songwriting techniques, including the art of using language effectively, exploring wordplay, mastering chord progressions, and developing melodies and harmonies. We work with each student to build on their unique skills while introducing new tools to enhance their songwriting process.
In addition to lessons, Maxfield Music offers co-writing services. If you're working on a song but feel stuck, we can collaborate to bring it to life. By sitting down with your lyrics and developing melodies and chords at the piano through improvisation, we let the song evolve organically. This approach encourages out-of-the-box thinking while refining the song’s structure and musical elements. Together, we’ll continue refining until you’re thrilled with the result—ready to bring it to the next stage of production.
Ready to Record?
Maxfield Music can recommend trusted recording studios and engineers to help you produce your finished song. We also provide onsite vocal recording assistance for $80 an hour, plus travel time (charged at the same hourly rate as lesson fees). Let us support you as you take your music from concept to recorded track.
